I loved how this card turned out. It is a "Z" card. I used the rock 'n roll technique with Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo ink on the main image. It is highlighted with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The left flap is textured with the Texturz plate and the Big Shot. The white Jumbo Grommet with the Pretty in Pink ribbon tied through it added just the right touch. Of course, they always look better in person.

Isn't this lady bug just the cutest? I saw one done like this on Dawn Griffeth's blog and had to make one. The lady bug is made from three scallop circles, a 1/2" circle, and two 1/4" circles. All of the spots were made with a pencil eraser. The colors are Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.
I wanted to share the projects we made at my "chocolate Party" a couple of weeks ago. Everything we did involved chocolate. It was my kind of party! :-) Our first project was with the Stampin' UP! Matchbox die for the Big Shot:
We used Chocolate Chip card stock for the box, Chocolate Chip Patterns papers for the slide/cover and to cover the Hershey's Nuggets (four nuggets fit perfectly in this fun little box!), and Chocolate Chip grosgrain for a little drawer pull. A Chocolate Chip Flower brad holds the ribbon in place. These die cut boxes go together so quickly! Love 'em!
Next we made these:
This fun little chocolate holder is made with Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White card stocks, Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, and Rich Razzleberry Polka-Dot grosgrain. The little notch for the ribbon was made with the 1/2" circle punch. The words are hard to see, but we stamped "sweet treats" on the outside and "just for you" on the inside. Both greetings are from the new Teeny Tiny Wishes set.
I mentioned yesterday that we had chocolate fondue. I had planned to make fondue. I love to cook, to make things from scratch. I searched the internet for recipes and went to Wal-Mart with a list of ingredients. I was going to buy things like whipping cream and unsweetened chocolate. But as I was making my way through the aisles, I saw this:
Of course I was short on time, so I decided to give it a try. It was yummy! We dipped strawberries and pretzels. This was considerably cheaper than purchasing the ingredients I had on my list. A couple of minutes in the microwave, a quick stir or two, and it's ready to eat. I still want to make some fondue with whipping cream and real chocolate. And someday, when I have plenty of time, I will. But in the mean time, this will satisfy my craving.

I had a "chocolate party" a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun! We used Chocolate Chip card stock, and Chocolate Chip ribbon on projects that contained real chocolate, and ate chocolate fondue. When I was getting everything ready, I decided I wanted to have a chocolate center piece. This is what I came up with:
I just love how it turned out! I used the Build a Flower die with the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper for the flowers. I layered several pieces and attached them to a scallop circle (made with our punch). A rhinestone brad through the center finished the look. Then I used mini glue dots to attach the flowers to York Peppermint Patties. I backed the patties with plain scallop circles. Bamboo skewers slid easily into the candy, and then I tied Old Olive grosgrain around the "stems" to look like leaves. I put some florists' foam down in the pot to hold the skewers. To cover the foam, I added some clear marbles and some Hershey's Nuggets.

I am planning a class for Tuesday, July 21. I haven't set a time yet, so if you are interested, let me know what time works for you! It will be a set of eight embossed monogram notecards with a plastic box to put them in. This makes a very professional looking package! I have given two sets this summer as wedding gifts. The brides were thrilled to receive something related to their new names. I gave them gift card as well, but the notecards made it a much more personal gift. This is what they look like:
I had a hard time getting a good picture. I think my camera didn't like all that white! I loved the rhinestone accent on the ribbon. I case'd (case = copy and steal everything!) this idea from demo Debbie M. Mine is slightly different, but not much.

Here are the other two projects I did with my stampin' friends in Topeka last month:
This uses the new Animal Stories and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Night of Navy and Whisper White card stocks, Soft Suede and Night of Navy Classic pads, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango markers (Yay! We have markers in the In Colors!), Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain, 1" and 1 1/4" circles punches and the scallop edge punch.
This card uses the Razzle Dazzle stamp set, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Soft Suede card stocks, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie Classic pads, Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain (it's just turned backward - love that you get two looks with one ribbon!), and the Eyelet Border punch.

We made a quick trip to Kansas a couple of weeks ago to go to a wedding. Anytime I get to make the trip, I try to get together with my downline. Jessica (who isn't even in my downline!) is always gracious to let us use her stamp studio. She would tell you that it's nothing fancy, but it has everything a stamper could need! We had a great time! It's always fun to get together, share ideas, and inspire each other. The projects I had for us to do used new stamps and the new In Colors.

Do you decorate the inside of your cards? I often don't think about it, but since this card is black, I added a Whisper White layer inside to write on.
Simple cards are sometimes my favorite. This one is truly simple! It is a Rich Razzleberry card with two strips of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper (1 1/4 X 3), a Filigree brad and two silver brads. You could add a greeting if you wanted, but I left mine plain. The Filigree brad adds just the right touch. I saw this card sketch somewhere, but I'm so sorry, I don't remember where it was! I poke around online far too much and can rarely remember where I found things. I really need to start writing things down. Or figure out one of those bookmark sites.
Well, I'm off to work on projects for Thursday. I'm having a chocolate party! If you're in north Texas, come on over!
