When I first saw the pillow box die and some samples, of course I wanted it. It has been available since August (through Stampin' Up!), and our amazing demonstrators have come up with even more enticing ideas! I should not be surprised; they always do! SU! demos are the best! :-) I saw a pillow box combined with the Top Note Bigz die to create a purse effect and put my own spin on it.
I think the samples I saw still opened from the ends, and they were very cute. But I wanted mine to open like a purse.
I cut off the side flap and trimmed off about half of the end flaps. The Top Note is held down with half a velcro dot, so you can lift the flap to get in the "purse."
Supplies used: Big Shot, Pillow Box and Top Note dies, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip card stocks, Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Trio Flower and 3/4" circle punches, silver brad, silver eyelets, Chocolate Chip taffeta, Sticky Strip and Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive.
Happy stamping, everyone!
Annette
Absolutely stunning! I love the way you made it open. Pure Brilliance! :O)
