I love my monthly kids' class. Since I'm not currently teaching, it gives me that little bit of time with some kiddos. I do use some retired product for this class, but I wanted to share these projects with you, anyway. You might already have what you need to make them, or you can always substitute product that you do have.
Last Friday was International Speak Like a Pirate Day, so we made this:

I combined several ideas I found on Pinterest. The card is Whsiper White. We added a 3" X 5 1/2" Chocolate Chip strip, embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder (#127821). Our "water" is a strip of Marina Mist card stock, trimmed with the Large Scallop Edgelit (#127019). The pirates were made with:
Head - 1 3/8" circle
Scarf - Flashback Designer Series Paper, half of a 1 3/8" circle, small heart cut in half for ties, Owl Builder Punch circle for knot
Ears - Owl Builder Punch circles
Patch: thin strip of Basic Black card stock, Owl Builder Punch circle
And a googlie eye. There is a 1 3/4" cricle of Crumb Cake card stock behind each pirate. The words were printed on the computer and cut out with the Word Bubbles Framelits (#132968). It's hard to see in this picture, but we created clouds in the sky by sponging over the scalloped word bubble. I put the pirates together, and the girls put all the elements on the cards.
We also made this cuper cute little box, also inspried by Pinterest:

We used the retired Fancy Favor Box die, but you could easily create a box about the same size (front is 3 1/8" across and 3 1/2" high, box is 2 1/4" deep). I love the way the Soft Sky and Pear Pizzaz card stocks look together. We used:
Head - Top Note Die
Eyes - 1 1/4", 1". and 3/4" circle punches
Chest Feathers - Large Scallop Edgelit
Feet - retired heart punch
Nose - retired heart punch
The white chalk marker makes highlighting a cinch. Love that marker!
We used Sticky Strip across the front and back of the box to attach the Top Note die.
Love my Kids' Fun Club class!
Happy stamping, everyone!
Annette
